A long standing New York City tradition is the annual lighting of the Rockefeller Center Tree. This year the 80 foot tree, which weighs more than 10 tons, will be donated from a New Jersey tree farmer.
The annual lighting will take place on November 28th and the city will see more than 30,000 lights stringed around the mammoth of a tree. If you cannot make the tree lighting in person, NBC will show the telecast live starting at 8pm on November 28th.
Visiting Rockefeller Center is a great way to start the 2012 holiday season with your friends and family! We hope you enjoy!
